September 15, 2016: The Pakistan Embassy in Copenhagen hosted a breakfast event on the margins of theWHO European Region (EURO), Regional Committee meeting in Copenhagen on September 13, 2016 where Dr Sania Nishtarunveiled“A New Vision for WHO” and the associated 10 Pledges for Action. The event was well attended by ministers of health and members of the delegations attending the WHO EURO meeting. Dr Sania also met a number of ministers of health and members of the visiting delegations from European countries and apprised them about her candidacy.

September 10, 2016: In her capacity as candidate for Director-General, World Health Organization, Dr. Sania Nishtar participated in the WHO South-East Asian Region (SEARO) Regional Committee meeting in Colombo, Sri Lanka from September 5-8, 2016. During the meeting, she had the opportunity to present her candidacy to Ministers of Health from the WHO SEARO region and other delegates attending the meeting.

August 28, 2016: In her capacity as candidate for Director-General of the World Health Organization, Dr. Sania Nishtar participated in the WHO African Region Regional Committee (AFRO) meeting from August 19-23, 2016. During the meeting, she had the opportunity to present her candidacy to ministers of health from the WHOAfrican region and other delegates attending the meeting.
