The National Academies Global Study on the Quality of Healthcare in Low- and Middle-Income Countries

October 18, 2017: In light of the call in the Sustainable Development Goals for achieving Universal Health Coverage, the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine has convened a Committee on Improving Global Quality of Healthcare. The committee will be co-chaired by Don Berwick, former United States Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and Dr. Sania Nishtar. Vision talk at Stanford Women Leaders Conference

October 12, 2017: The inaugural Women Leaders in Global Health conference was held at Stanford University on Oct. 12. The conference was attended by over 400 women and men – representing more than 250 organizations and from 68 countries – and watched live by another 400 viewers joining in from homes and workplaces around the world. Dr. Sania Nishtar gave one of the two Vision Talks at the Conference in an interview format.
