Sania Nishtar Chairs the National Academy of Sciences meeting in Washington

May 16, 2018: the fourth and the final in-person meeting of the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine’s committee on “Improving the Quality of Healthcare,Globally” was held in Washington on May 14 and 15. Dr Sania Nishtar and Dr. Donald Berwick, Committee co-chairs, chaired the meeting. The committee is expected to publish its report in September 2018.

May 7, 2018: The third meeting of the WHO High Level Commission on NCDs and (the first one that was held in person) was held in Geneva on May 7, 2018 at the WHO headquarters. A large number of commissioners were present at the meeting. Deliberations focused on the first report of the Commission, which is meant to be released on June 1, 2018.
