A roadmap for health reform for Pakistan has just been released.
 
Heartfile is a non-profit health sector NGO think tank, which focuses on catalyzing change within the health system and broader sysetms of governnce in order to improve health and social outcomes; the organization is recognized as a powerful and respected health policy voice within Pakistan and a unique model for replication in other developing countries.

The organization has linkages with numerous local and international organizations  and receives funding support  from a number of sources; however, the main support comes from the intellectual contributions of its Founder and President.
  The organization's scope of work within Pakistan involves:
Strengthening the evidence base for health reform Health Reforms
Spearheading Pakistan's Health Policy Forum
Reorienting health priorities in the wake of the epidemiological transition
Performing public health research
Publishing and disseminating original resource materials 
The organization's international scope of work centres on developing innovations in the health sector and contributing to knowledge in the areas of health policy and public health planning for low-resource settings
Status
Heartfile is a non-profit organization registered under Pakistan's Societies' Registration Act XXI of 1860, with the official registration number RS/ICT/317/1999.
Partnerships
Developing and sustaining partnerships is part of Heartfile’s efforts to enable a collective pursuit towards common objectives.
Some of these partnerships are in the policy arena and have been developed through Pakistan’s Health Policy Forum Pakistan's Health Policy Forum while others are with international health agencies, development partners and individual experts. As part of its pilot and demonstration projects, partnerships were also established with agencies for resource mobilization, enhancing outreach and leveraging other strengths.
