July 7, 2021-New York: During her visit to New York, Senator Dr. Sania Nishtar, SAPM held a meeting with Liu Zhenmin, UN Under-Secretary-General, United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA). The meeting discussed ways to upscale social protection and fulfilment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) globally. Dr. Nishtar was accompanied by the Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations New York, Ambassador Munir Akram. Dr. Nishtar was in New York to represent Pakistan at the United Nations’ High Level Political Forum (HLPF) 2021. Making use of this opportunity, Dr. Nishtar joined several high-level events on the sidelines of HLPF.
