July 13, 2020 – Islamabad: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Sania Nishtar called on Prime Minister Imran Khan and briefed him about the upcoming ‘Ehsaas Nashonuma’ program. Nashonuma is a conditional cash transfer program, specifically designed to prevent stunting in children. Under the program, 31 Nashonuma centers will open in 9 districts in the following weeks. World Food Programme (WFP) is the implementing partner of Ehsaas for this program. The Prime Minister will launch Ehsaas Nashonuma program in next few weeks. During the briefing, the PM advised Dr. Nishtar to further expand the scope of Ehsaas program in the context of COVID-19.
