July 9, 2025. Dr Nishtar visited Lebanon’s Central Drug Warehouse at Karantina, the nerve centre of the
country’s immunisation system. The facility was rebuilt after the 2020 Beirut port explosion and now uses
sophisticated digital inventory systems to help avoid vaccine stockouts. Dr Nishtar thanked Dr Dima
Shamss and her team for the informative visit.
