The 'National Action Plan for Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases and Health Promotion in Pakistan' was jointly developed by members of the tripartite collaboration namely, the Ministry of Health, the World Health Organization and Heartfile under an officially signed Memorandum of Understanding . The National Action Plan was produced under the overall direction of President Heartfile Dr. Sania Nishtar, who also contributed her time as the principal author. The report received inputs from panels of experts constituting the National NCD Forum and the International Advisory Board.
