Sep 7, 2020 – Islamabad: SAPM Dr. Sania Nishtar was invited to keynote at a webinar on, Digital Health in COVID-19: Sharing Experiences of COMSATS’ South Asian Member States. Addressing the webinar, Dr. Nishtar shared social protection experience from the Ehsaas Emergency Cash program that was rolled out nationwide to tackle socio-economic crunch induced by COVID-19 pandemic. ‘Pakistan’s Ehsaas Emergency Cash not only offers a way forward during the COVID-19 crisis, but also learnings for the post COVID-19 interventions. The program has reached out nearly half the population of world’s fifth populous country’, said Dr. Nishtar. At the webinar, Dr. Nishtar was joined by High Commissioners of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
